    WCOBA will not be participating in the Warren County Fair this year as we take time to strengthen our programs and plan for future events. However, our club will still have a presence through the 4-H program. We encourage you to stop by and say hello to club officer Bernie Younkman, who will be representing us. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to returning next year with new ideas and an even better experience.

    Instead of our regular meeting and support the fair, we hope you joined us for a hands-on workday at the WCOBA Bowyer Farm Apiary!

    Join us for an evening celebrating the many products of the hive! We’ll explore:

    • Honey extraction

    • Wax processing

    • Extractor operation and equipment care

    • Honey tasting — bring a small sampling of your own honey to share and compare with fellow members

    🐝 Extractor Rental Update

    The Board is finalizing an updated extractor rental policy to help protect and properly maintain this valuable club resource. Members interested in renting the extractor at the discounted member rate are encouraged to attend this meeting, where we will review proper operation, cleaning procedures, transportation, and care of the equipment.

    Final rental guidelines and any requirements will be shared after Board approval.

    Do you have a favorite recipe featuring honey? We’d love to include recipes from our members! Send us your recipe before the meeting with:

    • Recipe name

    • Ingredients

    • Directions

    • Your name (optional, if you’d like to be credited)

    We’ll compile these into a collection for members to enjoy.

    You’re also welcome to bring a favorite Product of the Hive to share—such as beeswax candles, soaps, lotions, mead, propolis products, or other creations—to inspire fellow members and showcase the many ways we use the gifts from our bees.
